Sandy Wells was born, raised, and continues to live in small town Western New York where cows rule and laundry is still hung on the line—depending on which direction the wind is blowing. Country life is after all, aromatic. She lives with her husband of 36 years and counting, in the family farmhouse in which she grew up. Sandy and her husband have two grown sons, the oldest has served in the Air Force for going on 15 years, and the youngest is a dedicated nurse; as well as 3 rambunctious grandchildren—2 girls and a boy. They also have a menagerie of four legged, furry friends: two cats, one dog, one bunny, and two goats (Sid and Diego).

Sandy is active in her church: she’s the chairperson for the Missions / Family Ministry committee, assists with the annual Labor Day pie sale, helps wherever needed during annual Barbeques, bakes, manages the church library, and has written articles for the church’s monthly newsletter for over 16 years. Sandy wears many hats, but she is first and foremost a child of God, and follower of Christ. It is this love for the Lord that she hopes flows through her writing, touching others’ lives in the way they need most.

Sandy has had a passion for the written word since before she could read, and would sit with the telephone book on her lap and “read” the amazing stories within the pages. When she got a little older and could actually read the words written upon the pages Sandy discovered new friends and wondrous lands, and the library became a favorite place to visit. Over the years Sandy has written short stories filled with creative characters that just so happen to be dealing with the same life issues her young sons were also enduring at the time. She has written poetry and short unpublished essays during her life’s journey, as a way of coping with difficult issues. Sandy has had articles published on Faithwriters.com and has taken part in the Faithwriters writing challenge, achieving Advanced level. She has also had the joy of taking part in Patty Wysong’s “A to Z Meme.”  Sandy is also currently working on what will be her first book. God has been busy in her life.
